Endocrine Oncology is proud to sponsor the European Neuroendocrine Association (ENEA) Young Investigator Symposium, brought to you by the ENEA Young Researchers Committee (EYRC). The symposium will take place at 7th ENEA Workshop (from 9 to 11 December 2021) and will focus on early-career development in neuroendocrinology.

Endocrine Oncology is also proud to support the ENEA Young Researchers network by publishing a special collection, guest edited by EYRC’s Cristina Olarescu (Oslo University Hospital, Norway), Manuel Gahete (University of Cordoba, Spain), along with Maria Zatelli (University of Ferrara, Italy). This collection will showcase the presentations given within this symposium as well as including other relevant articles written by early career researchers working within neuroendocrine tumours. All articles submitted to this special issue with be subject to full peer review to ensure the quality standard required for publication.

Endocrine Oncology welcomes contributions from the wider EYRC community, not just commissioned articles. Authors wishing to contribute to this collection, should submit a copy of their abstract, and a copy of their most recent CV to eo@bioscienficica.com for approval by the guest editors.

Eligibility for this particular collection is as follows:

  • Scientists: <10 years post PhD with at least 3 publications as first, co-first or as senior author
  • Clinical Academics: currently undertaking an MD or PhD or <6 years from completion of MD or PhD with at least 3 publications as first, co-first or as senior author
  • Clinicians-in-Practice: up to 12 years from attainment of MBBS with at least 3 publications as first, co-first or as senior author (Clinicians-in-Practice may include Clinical Cases)

This is a great opportunity for early career researches to publish their work in a new launch open access journal for free, as all Article Processing Charge (APC) fees are currently waived when publishing in Endocrine Oncology.*

Launched at the beginning of 2021, Endocrine Oncology is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal publishing basic, translational and clinical research and reviews on the interplay between hormones and cancer, and related topics; it is an official journal of the Society for Endocrinology.
