Women in Neuroendocrine Tumour Science: Breaking Barriers and Building Legacies
This special collection is dedicated to showcasing the broad spectrum of research, advancements and clinical practices in Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) science, with a specific emphasis on the contributions and leadership of women in the field. The articles will encompass a wide range of topics, including basic and clinical research on NETs, advancements in diagnostic techniques, treatment strategies and clinical trials, patient care and quality of life issues and leadership and advocacy.
It will serve as a cornerstone for ongoing discussion, research and clinical advancements in the treatment of NETs, celebrating the dedicated efforts of women who have been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this challenging and complex field.
This collection is inspired by the work being done by the Women in NET (WiN) initiative from the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS), which offers support and mentorship to female specialists, trainees and researchers.
